Need for a Think-Tank on access to water

Water is essential to living a decent life. Without which there can be no health, no education, and no development. In order to reduce the number of persons without access to water and sanitation by half around 2015, all the initiatives and areas for reflection have to be explored.

The creation of our network is an affirmation of its members solidarity with the priority of access to water and sanitation for the development of emerging countries and the well-being of humanity.

Although the actions remain to be envisaged in this field at regional and local level, water is still a global problem that has an impact on fields such as health, the combat against poverty, the public financing of development, and globalisation. The strength of the (re)sources network consists in the diversity of its people and skills.

Through crossed view points, a heated debate on the consensus established, and shared local experiences and initiatives, the members of (re)sources can study the problems of access to water in emerging countries based on a regulatory, economic, social and health-based approach.
